                      support and as a point of contact for parents. Each advisor will be familiar with
                      university policies and procedures as identified in the Student Handbooks. The
                      minimal roles of academic advisors are as follows:
                      a.   Conduct regular face-to-face activities or meetings with mentee covering
                           areas of academic to social in nature.
                      b.   Keep mentees’ details including personal information, academic record
                           and academic achievement.
                      c.   Guide  on  subject  combination  and  credit  loading  to  be  registered  for
                           each  term.  This  is  done  during  the  pre-registration  and  registration
                           exercise
                      d.   Review  and  evaluate  mentee’s  educational  progress  by  continuous
                           monitoring  and  evaluating  their  progression,  as  well  as  helping  them
                           clarify their educational goals and values.

                13.2  Counselling Services
                      a.   Students have access to non-academic counselling services provided by
                           SCD. Students who need spiritual, psychological and social support may
                           seek help from SCD and will be referred to the Counsellor. Counselling is
                           done  at  the  counselling  room  to  maintain  confidentiality.    All
                           information  furnished  by  students  during  counselling  sessions  is
                           confidential.
                      b.   Progress of those who seek counselling services is monitored through a
                           progress  report  and  records  on  communication  with  the  students.
                           Counselling forms and reports are maintained at the Counselling Office.

            14.  STUDENT FEEDBACK SYSTEM
                The student feedback system is a mechanism available for students to voice written
                grievances or appeal on matters relating to the student support services provided.
                Complaints will be investigated and response shall be given to the students who filed
                the  complaints.  For  appeals  on  accommodation,  students  may  fill  in  the
                Accommodation Feedback form.

                As  a  means  to  provide  feedback,  students  also  have  access  to  non-academic
                counselling  services  provided  through  SCD.  Counselling  is  done  at  the  counselling
                room  to  maintain  confidentiality.    All  information  furnished  by  students  during
                counselling sessions is kept confidential by SCD.
