i. Library materials and furniture should not be misused or removed from
the library.
j. Students must return or renew the books which they borrow when due
as indicated on the due slip. Fines will be imposed for late returns.
k. Bags, parcels, files and umbrellas are not allowed to be brought into the
library. Students may keep them in the locker provided. However, the
library bears no responsibility for any loss of personal belongings or
properties on its premises.
l. The Copyright Act protects all library materials. Therefore, students are
fully responsible for all photocopying done.
m. Mobile phones are allowed in the library but students must ensure that
they are on “silent” or “vibration” mode.
n. Students are allowed to charge their laptops only at designated area in
the library. However, mobile phones and other electronic devices are
prohibited.
17.2 Membership
The membership of MSU Library is open to:
a. All students of Shah Alam and Bangalore.
b. All registered students of MSU.
c. All staff (academic and non-academic) of MSU including part-time
teaching staff.
17.3 General Rules for Loan / Borrowing
a. Student must use only his / her own University ID card for all
transactions.
b. Users are not allowed to borrow on behalf of others.
c. The total number of books that can be borrowed and the duration will
depend on which category the books are categorized:

d. It is the students’ responsibility to ensure that the borrowed books are
