PEO 5 : Cater to the needs of the community and country with utmost
dedication and professionalism
2.2 Programme Learning Outcomes (PLO)
At the end of programme, the graduates should:
PLO 1: Demonstrate adequate knowledge in history taking, physical
examination, ordering of relevant investigation and constructing a
management plan of commonly encountered problems of individual
patient and the community (KNOWLEDGE)
PLO 2: Practice preventive, promotive, curative and rehabilitative medicine in
respect to the commonly encountered health problems (SKILLS)
PLO 3: Appreciate the social-psychological, culture, economic and
environmental factors affecting health and develop humane attitude
towards discharging one’s professional responsibilities (SOCIAL
RESPONSIBILITY)
PLO 4: Be competent to work in a variety of health care settings and possess
high moral values, ethics and professionalism (ETHICS AND VALUES &
PROFESSIONALISM)
PLO 5: Be able to work as a leading partner and health care teams and acquire
proficiency in communication skills (COMMUNICATION SKILLS &
LEADERSHIP)
PLO 6: Identify community health problems and learn to work to resolve these
by designing, instituting corrective steps and evaluating outcome of
such measures (CRITICAL THINKING & PROBLEM-SOLVING)
PLO 7: Possess the attitude for continued self-learning and seek further
expertise or pursue research in any chosen areas of medicine
(LIFELONG LEARNING)
PLO 8: Display basic management skill in the area of human resources,
materials and resources management, related to health care delivery
(MANAGEMENT SKILL)
